This blog is meant to let me communicate the research I have done on the Stumpf families who settled in the Banat. My focus is on the families I descend from, or likely descend from. They are mostly in the Zrenjanin region of today’s Serbia and descend from Jakob or Melchior, most likely brothers who immigrated in 1764.

I didn’t start out trying to be an expert or clearing house of Stumpf genealogy in the Banat, but here I am. My goal with this blog is to help others interested in the Stumpf line. Feel free to contact me with corrections, information, or questions.
The first post was made on 29 Nov 2022, the 204th anniversary of Melchior Stumpf's death and the 195th anniversary of Maria Anna Forvitt Stumpf's death. May they rest in peace.
